Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in your community. Many volunteer opportunities exist with the Longmont Downtown Development Authority (LDDA) throughout the year. Whether you want to be involved in the heart of a special event, help collect data, or clean-up downtown, the LDDA could use your assistance. We appreciate your interest in helping us make Downtown Longmont a vibrant, fun, clean and safe place to be.

Please download our Volunteer Application and submit to Del Rae Heiser, Program Specialist. If you have any questions, please call Del Rae at 303-651-8484 or email. We look forward to working with you!

  • Work on-site with artists and business owners to setup and breakdown event space
  • Act as LDDA host during event (optional)
  • Collect and report post-event feedback
  • Volunteers must commit to event setup and breakdown, but have the option to either stay during the entire event or enjoy other aspects of Downtown during the evening.
  • Volunteers will report to the featured business by 5:40pm and can return by 8:45pm Volunteer shifts will usually be completed by 9:15pm

Special Event Volunteers
The LDDA hosts a variety of special events downtown throughout the year and volunteers are critical to ensuring an event run smoothly. With your support, event participants have a fun, safe, and memorable experience.

  • Area Managers: monitor a specific area during an event including supporting vendor needs/requests and participant inquiries, and reporting clean and safety issues.
  • Counter/gate check: track attendance during events and/or monitor participants entering/exiting designated gated areas.
  • Information booth: work with LDDA staff at the LDDA information booth.
  • Runners: distribute flyers and/or maps to event participants during an event.
