2012 is the Year of Art in Longmont!
On January 24, 2012, Mayor Dennis Coombs and City Council proclaimed 2012 the “Year of Art.“ Art Builds Community and it is our intention for the “Year of Art” to build community awareness and increase participation in the arts and culture available throughout the city.
The community call to action is to enjoy the local art scene to keep the arts alive and well in Longmont. The Art Partners will keep track of participation and if annual attendance exceeds 86,270, the current population of the city, each person registered by the end of the year will receive a free ticket to an art event in 2013.
