There are three on the east side of Main Street on Kimbark Street and two on the west side of Main Street on Coffman Street. All parking lots are clearly marked with a ‘Parking’ sign. Parking is restricted to either 2 or 3 hours depending on the location. Please refer to signs posted for parking restrictions. For a map of the downtown parking locations click here.
Hours of restricted parking: Weekdays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays: No time limit
Parking Permits
The LDDA offers two types of parking permits for use in their Downtown parking lots:
Day Permits: 1 day parking permits are parking lot specific and cost $5 per day. Multiple days can be purchased in advance. Please visit the LDDA office to obtain this permit.
Annual Parking Permits: Businesses and residents in the Downtown area can apply for an annual parking permit issued by the LDDA. The permit is parking lot specific and can not be used in parking lots other than the designated lot on the permit. The cost is $20 per month, paid in 6 monthly increments. Please note that there is a waiting list for the more heavily used parking lots.
All permits can be obtained at the LDDA office located at 528 Main Street. Forms of payment accepted are cash, check, money order, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Please have the following vehicle information available when applying for an annual permit (not required for one day permits);
- car model, make, year, color, license plate number
If you have more than one vehicle and would like to transfer your permit back and forth between your vehicles, please ensure that the office has each vehicle’s information.
Parking permits must be placed on the driver side front windshield in the lower left corner. Please do not place permits in the tinted area of the windshield.
Please note that:
- Parking permits do not guarantee a parking space
- Permits must be in the vehicle at all times and are only valid in the lot specified
- Inoperable or abandoned vehicles are subject to towing at the owner’s expense
- Permit holders are responsible for adhering to these guidelines
What to do if you get a ticket:
All issues relating to citations should be addressed to the parking enforcement office, 303-651-8658 at the City of Longmont. Parking enforcement is a function of the City of Longmont, not the LDDA.
