Longmont Downtown Summer Concerts is proud to partner with Eco-Cycle and the City of Longmont to implement Zero Waste!
What is Zero Waste? It is a cyclical system designed to protect our natural resources, reduce pollution and feed the local economy.
Why start implementing Zero Waste at our event? Because Zero Waste practices can dramatically reduce event waste by sourcing Zero Waste compliant service items, and preventing compostable and recyclable materials from ending up in landfills.Together, we’re taking a huge step to protect our environment.
Expect to see Zero Waste stations across the venue, made of 3 bins: compost, single-stream recycling and trash. Please pay attention to the sorting guidelines displayed on them and ask our volunteers for help in order to divert as much waste as possible from the landfill.
What is compostable?
All dinnerware distributed by our vendors is compostable: cups, plates, bowls, portion cups, utensils, napkins, etc. Along with all food scraps, please discard them in the compost bins across the venue.
What is recyclable?
Please use the recycling bins from the Zero Waste stations to recycle your glass & plastic bottles, #5 souvenir cups, paper, aluminum cans and balled aluminum foil.
