How to Make the Holidays Mean a Little More this Season.

The Holiday Season is a great time to show those around you how much you care. Taking time to send a card, taking time out of your busy schedule to visit with a friend or loved one, or buying someone a gift are all ways to share your gratitude.

But what if your gesture also helped your community?  The local small businesses in Downtown Longmont are here to make your holidays extra special.  And by keeping your purchases local you keep more money in our community.  Those dollars help keep Longmont safe, clean, and vibrant.

Downtown Longmont has all kinds of ways you can “Keep It Local” this year.

  1. Pick Up a Free Winter Passport. Buy everything local this year!  For every $10 spent, get a sticker.  Collect 10 stickers, turn in your sheet to win big prizes.
  2. Shop Early. Attend the Holiday Open Houses on November 12 or Miracle on 4th Local Gift Market on November 14. Check out all the local stores and make your spending decisions early!
  3. Enjoy Small Business Weekend. It kicks off with the Holiday Tree Lighting November 26 at 6:30 pm. Come back Downtown for Small Business Saturday – the biggest and best shopping day of the year. Round out the weekend with Artists Sunday and support local artists.

A special Thanks to High Country Bank for sponsoring Small Business Saturday and the Winter Passport! We hope to see you soon!
