Holidays in Downtown Longmont
Winter Passport
Enjoy everything Downtown Longmont has to offer all winter long, and be rewarded for your patronage! The Winter Passport is your ticket to some great prizes as a Thank You for supporting local small businesses.
It's Easy! Simply pick up a passport at participating Downtown businesses. Then, make purchases at participating businesses, collect passport stickers, and affix them to your passport pages. Once you have a full page of 10 stickers, fill out the back and turn in to St. Stephen’s Plaza or 320 Main St. Drawings for Downtown Gift Cards and other prizes from local businesses will be held periodically throughout the winter. There is something for everyone Downtown – be sure to shop Downtown and help our local small businesses continue to be here for you this winter.
Downtown VIP Shopper Card
As an added bonus, everyone who submits a Winter Passport entry will automatically be sent a Downtown VIP Shopper Card via mail in mid-January. This card will allow you to access exclusive deals, offfers, and discounts at Downtown businesses.
Holiday Display Voting Contest
This is your chance to vote for the best downtown holiday display and win! Downtown businesses are working hard and vying for the best window decorations and displays throughout the holiday season. Anyone can be the judge and enter to win a Downtown Gift Card.
Take a stroll, enjoy the crisp winter air, and check out all the holiday displays throughout Downtown. Remember your three favorites, and head to the voting page to cast your votes between November 27 – January 3. By voting, you can win too! LDDA will choose four lucky voters to win a $50 downtown gift card.
Stroll through a Story on Main Street
When you and the family head downtown this season to support our local businesses, be sure to enjoy the Downtown Storywalk created by the Longmont Public Library and the Longmont Downtown Development Authority. This Storywalk features the children’s book, Samson in the Snow, about a kind wooly mammoth who discovers the joy of friendship in the middle of an Ice Age blizzard.
The Storywalk features pages from the book set up in businesses and breezeways on Main Street between Longs Peak and 3rd Avenue. The first page begins at Dance Dimensions at 638 Main St. and proceeds down the east side of Main St. to Third Avenue, where it crosses and continues up the west side of Main St., concluding at 6th Ave. Plaza. The story is in English and Spanish.
