Pride.

This June is about Pride

Thank all our LGBTQ owned and friendly businesses for your amazing contribution to our community.

Love knows no bounds, and neither does our vibrant community! This June, we are proud to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and honor diversity, acceptance, and love for all. In Downtown Longmont, we believe in creating a safe and inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, celebrated, and free to express their true selves. From diverse businesses to vibrant events, Downtown Longmont embraces the beautiful spectrum of human identity. Join us in spreading love, acceptance, and unity this month. Support LGBTQ+-owned businesses and uplift their voices. Plus, mark your calendars for Longmont Pride happening June 30, 4 - 8pm, at Roosevelt Park (for the first time!). Follow Out Boulder County for event details and join us in celebrating Boulder County Pride all month long.

In 2017, LDDA adopted a community plan to guide the future of Downtown Longmont.  That plan had a vision: Downtown is the heart of Longmont, home to a robust mix of innovative and creative businesses, as well as being the hub of cultural life, diverse housing, and civic activities. Downtown’s authentic and progressive atmosphere welcomes people of all ages, cultures, incomes, and abilities from across the Front Range, and is a point of pride for the entire Longmont community.

Downtown is everyone’s neighborhood – and we hope that you visit often.  We appreciate all of the amazing, local businesses owners that work to make Downtown special. There are more than 475 diverse, small businesses located within the LDDA, with everything from retail, restaurant, professional and person services and more.  See our business directory.

Take a stroll Downtown this summer.  Did you know that we also help businesses make improvements to their spaces? LDDA has façade grants that assist business owners with updates to the exterior of their buildings. Improvements to buildings that house new businesses like 99 Bar Saloon and Royalty Arrangements flowers make a big difference!  Since 2022, 16 properties were improved with the help of our grant program. See Development Projects.

This June, we encourage everyone to come stroll down Main Street, thank a local business owner, try something new and tell a friend makes you proud of this community.
