David Coile
David Coile has dabbled in many creative pursuits: filmmaking, comedy, and cartooning, among others. But it took a mid-life crisis to get him focused on his passion for making music. After quitting his full-time job, David has spent the last decade as a singer-songwriter in the Boulder-Denver-Front Range scene, blending an affinity for storytelling and catchy hooks with a booming voice and unique finger-style guitar. Creatively restless, David works within a broad range of styles and themes: from folk and pop to funk and punk, with songs about love, childhood, photography, beards, car washes, and the end of the world. As host of the popular Raw Songwriting podcast, David has interviewed and learned from artists around the world about their tools and techniques for creating memorable songs.
Zizania Music: Jazz, Swing, & Blues
Zizania Music puts a playful twist on traditional jazz, swing, and blues. Expect to hear songs made famous by Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Nat King Cole, Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, Bessie Smith, and many other favorites.
What is the Second Saturday Creative Crawl? Well, I’m glad you asked. Every Second Saturday, businesses around Downtown Longmont host events and creatives to celebrate Longmont’s creative community. All Longmont creatives are invited to participate (you don’t have to live or work in the “creative district” to participate).
