From classic cinema to contemporary Japanese artists, this season’s films celebrate the art and culture of Japan – part of our Thursday Nights @ the Museum series. One of the greatest achievements by director Akira Kurosawa, “Ikiru” affirms life through an exploration of death. The film examines the struggles of a terminally ill Tokyo bureaucrat and his final quest for meaning. Please note: masks and proof of COVID vaccination are required to attend this program.
