Commissioned by LDDA and Longmont Creates, 'Sunrise' is a piece that embodies the connection between nature, community, and the cycles of change that we all experience. Drawing inspiration from the Colorado state flag and the transition from Summer to Fall, this work captures the moment when the sun sinks below the Front Range horizon, metaphorically signaling the end of one season and the beginning of another.
