Downtown Sign Design Standards
Let your sign reflect your vibe—without the guesswork.
Before you install a new sign or update an existing one in Downtown Longmont, check out our Downtown Sign Design TIPS to get started on the right foot. All Downtown sign designs must be reviewed prior to purchase and you’ll need a Certificate of Compliance from the LDDA when applying for a City Sign Permit.
The Downtown Signage Design Standards outlines overall design standards, as well as specific information regarding each sign type.
Downtown Sign Design Standards
The LDDA's Sign Design Advisory Committee (DAC), comprised of local individuals with expertise in design and sign design, can help you decide on the type of sign, brainstorm design ideas, or review your sign design concept. They meet at 2pm on the 4th Wednesday of the month at the LDDA office (320 Main St., Longmont). Occasionally on site meetings to review proposed signage and/or ideas is recommended.
