Join us for a hands-on ceramics workshop where you'll create your own unique pocket wall planter and/or wall sconce!

In this beginner-friendly class, you'll learn the fundamentals of handbuilding using the slab technique, including rolling, cutting, and assembling clay to form a beautiful and functional air plant wall planter and/or wall sconce candle holder. We'll explore techniques for adding decorative details and finishing your piece. During this class, you will:

1️⃣ Roll and shape clay slabs to form the walls and pocket of your planter and sconce.2️⃣ Properly attach and smooth the slabs for a seamless look.3️⃣ Punch out holes and carve designs to customize the piece. 4️⃣ Choose a glaze color to personalize your piece.

You will receive 1lb of stoneware clay for this class, which is enough clay to make 2 pieces (either planter or sconce, or both!)... maybe more!

Your finished pieces will be glazed, fired, and ready for pickup in 7-10 days—we’ll notify you when it’s ready! Please note: the goal is to have all of these finished and in your hands before the Christmas holiday! This class would be a great chance to create some beautiful handmade gifts for family and friends!
