For more than 30 years, Don Mares and his fellow musicians of "Nearly There" have been sharing their music with friends and strangers of all ages. From music festivals to smaller venues, they continue to delight fans with their distinct, versatile, and enjoyable musical style.

Their playlist includes a broad range of music from artists such as John Denver, Eagles, Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Zac Brown, Tanya Tucker, Garth Brooks, Green Day and others. An unusual mix of instrumentation features guitar, electric bass, banjo, mandolin, cello, percussion, keyboard, squeezebox, and vocals.

Nearly There has played all over the Denver metro area, as well as Keenesburg, Brighton, and Pueblo. In addition to a sold-out house for Swallow Hill, gigs include Greenwood Village mobile concert series, Art on the Green art festival in Greenwood Village, Botanic Gardens, Denver Audubon Society, Children's Hospital, John Denver Festival, Bricks on Main, Brewability, Public Offering, Locavore, Denver Beer Company, The Alley, Vita Littleton, Hilltop Club, Park Lane, and Central Presbyterian Church.
