Join us to celebrate Valentine's Day the clay way! In this hands-on ceramics workshop you will have the opportunity to choose from three different Valentine's Day-themed clay creations. A short demonstration will begin the class to teach you the best methods of the slab building technique in clay. Then you will be given 1 lb. of clay to create as you wish!
During this class, you will:
1️⃣ Roll and shape clay slabs to form the walls and structural design
2️⃣ Properly attach and smooth clay to limit cracking and ensure success in the kiln firing.
3️⃣ Add texture and raised clay embelishments to your piece.
4️⃣ Choose a glaze color to personalize your piece.
You will receive 1lb of stoneware clay for this class, which is enough clay to make 3 pieces ... maybe more!
Your finished pieces will be glazed, fired, and ready for pickup at the end of the next week. This is in time for Valentine's Day if you wish to give these as gifts!
