We are partnering with the Longmont Library and Butterscotch Studios to present an art exhibit for Pride to show at the library on June 7th. The pieces in the show will be created over a series of 5 art classes at the Firehouse. The whole program only costs $100! You will have a chance to experience different mediums from acrylic, to clay, to fabric! All abilities welcome- no artistic experience necessary! (Age 14+)

May 3 (FIRST CLASS IS ON SUNDAY)- Let your freak flag fly- Create your own flag or banner that represents you! You'll learn what makes a "good" flag (keep it simple silly!) and create one that is all about you. You'll get to take that flag home to fly proudly.

Saturday- May 9- 1:30- 3:30- The Art of Healing: A guided Artistic Experience

Experience the power of art to unlock healing and transformation. This introspective artistic activity will incorporate meditative practices and personal introspection with ceramic painting, inviting you to foster connection within yourself and with those around you to create something beautiful.

Meet your instructor- Amber Cantorna-Wylde (she/her) is a national speaker, consultant, and community healer passionate about fostering a world of acceptance and belonging. She’s the author of three books, the founder the Unashamed Love Collective which ran for 10 seasons, and she now owns a full-service portrait photography business based here in Longmont.

Follow her on social media at @AmberCantornaWylde and learn more about her advocacy work at AmberCantornaWylde.com and her photography business at WyldeandFreePhotography.com.

Saturday- May 16- Bring your homies and make some gnomies...In this beginner clay class, you'll learn the basics of clay hand building, then we will build a gnome and if there is time, a mushroom house! We'll talk about fantastical worlds and building spaces where everyone can feel safe. You will come back to glaze after we bisque fire it in 1 week.

Saturday- May 23- Mandala Painting- Tap into your creativity during this meditative painting class using acrylics. The word ‘mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning “circle” or “center”. Many different cultures around the world use mandalas in their spiritual practice. We'll sketch our mandala and then paint with acrylics using a dotting method. Manifest your state of mind through shapes, colors and patterns and center yourself in the process.

Saturday- May 30- Glaze your gnomies- this is a low key class where gnomes and mushroom houses can be glazed.
