On Sunday, October 4th, from 1:30 to 2:30 PM, Epiphany Anglican Church will offer a Blessing of the Animals. This free event will be held in Longmont, just south-east of 5th Avenue on Main Street, at the Outdoor Arts Plaza next to Old St. Stephen's Church. Dogs must be leashed, cats should be in carriers, and any other animals should also be made comfortable and safe within the unfenced sculpture garden next to busy Hwy 287.
This ancient and charming British Isles ritual is a lovely glimpse into the heart of how pets become part of our holy family. Following the Blessing, at 3PM, a traditional Anglican Service will be held at 470 Main St, inside the historic Old St Stephen's Church, which was built in 1881.
