Class title: Photography ART Camp

Max. Enrollment: 8-10, Ages 9-13

3 Day Camp, June 23 - 25th, 9 AM - Noon

Price:$200

In this three day creative art camp, children ages 9-13 will experience hands on, entry level photography instruction and art based projects that are interesting and educational. Projects are based around the photographic image using basic light theory to create a voice using the sun to make self expressive imagery.

Campers are welcome to bring any type of camera, even if it is a toy, although this is not required as the instructor will provide class cameras to share during camp hours.

Day One: Campers will create Chalk Dream Portrait Scenes and be photographed within their imagined scene, and then create handmade decorated photo frames to finish the project.

Day Two: Campers will work on the “Best Part of Me” writing and portrait projects.

Day 1 - 2: We will also be working on a Photographic Scavenger Hunt.

Day Three: Campers will be be creating mural size fabric cyanotype sun print self portraits and smaller sun prints using found objects and the sun.

Please wear sunscreen & bring a sun hat, a full water bottle & small snack.

Come make new friends and have fun by exploring the nature of what a photograph is

and what it can be, using mixed medium art-based alternative photography processes with and without a camera. Activities include: Chalk Dream Portraits, a “Best of Me” portrait, frame making, alphabet photo scavenger hunt, sun prints and a mural size cyanotype fabric print self portraits.
