We are partnering with the Longmont Library and Butterscotch Studios to present an art exhibit for Pride to show at the library on June 7th. The pieces in the show will be created over a series of 5 art classes at the Firehouse. You will have a chance to experience different mediums from acrylic, to clay, to watercolor, to fabric! All abilities welcome- no artistic experience necessary! (Age 14+)
SUNDAY- May 24- Mandala Painting- Tap into your creativity during this meditative painting class using acrylics. The word ‘mandala’ is a Sanskrit word meaning “circle” or “center”. Many different cultures around the world use mandalas in their spiritual practice. We'll sketch our mandala and then paint with acrylics using a dotting method. Manifest your state of mind through shapes, colors and patterns and center yourself in the process.
