Do you wish your clothes had more pockets? Then grab your pocketless garments and come to Drifters on November 8 from 3-5 p.m.! Krista of Scrapkin Vintage will demonstrate a whipstitch and a backstitch, which you can use to attach patch pockets (like a cargo pocket or chest pocket) or side seam pockets (like in a skirt or pants). She will have limited premade pockets for sale for $5 each or $8 for 2, and will also provide various pocket patterns if you want to bring your own fabric, as well as scissors, needles, thread, etc.

Class price: $15

Please note:
You are welcome to bring a sewing machine if you have one you’re comfortable using, but it’s also totally possible to do everything with hand sewing.
Side seam pockets are more complicated than patch pockets, so these are recommended for those with some prior sewing experience.
If you’re hand sewing, heavy materials like canvas and denim will be difficult to work with. Stretch materials can also be tricky, so I’d recommend a medium-weight cotton or similar non-stretch fabric.
