For the month of April, Women & Wine will feature a program featuring Jessica Birmingham of Happy Day Plants. We will be celebrating Earth Day with a special planting and you'll get to take home your plant with you! A variety of plants will be provided for guests to plant during our event. We will also bring other plants and plant merchandise for purchase. Each plant will go home with a care card so that new plant owners are familiar with the care instructions.

Happy Day Plants is more than just a plant shop in Downtown Longmont. Our mission is to provide meaningful job opportunities for adults with disabilities, who often face significant barriers to traditional employment. Through our work, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of our team members and the broader community, demonstrating that with the right support and opportunities, everyone can flourish.

Over the past three years, Happy Day Plants has experienced tremendous growth and received overwhelming community support for its mission to provide meaningful job opportunities for adults with disabilities, who often face significant barriers to traditional employment. In June 2024, Happy Day Plants became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. This transformation allows us to cultivate growth not only in the houseplants we nurture but also in the lives we touch.

Ticket prices are $50 for WAW members; $75 for non-members. This includes a flight of wine from a female winemaker and a food platter of your choice, along with a plant for you to take home!
