Call for Portraits

Opening Reception - Friday, Oct 11, 6-9 p.m.

The Firehouse Art Center is hosting our annual Day of the Dead exhibition from October
09 -November 03 featuring an altar made by local Casa de la Esperanza students and
community members, alongside portraits of Longmont’s loved ones. If you or someone you
know is interested in submiting a portrait, please follow the guidelines below. Space is
limited, submit your portrait today!
Submissons open – August 01, 2019
Submissions close – October 01, 2019
Portrait drop-off – October 05 & 06
Portraits can not have an outside frame dimension larger than 11x14, and must be ready-to-hang when dropped off at the
gallery. We will accept all types of portraits: photos, drawings, paintings, black and white or color.
The Firehouse Art Center will require the following information:
1. Portrait owner info - Name, Address, Phone, and Email.
2. Portrait info - who is in the image?

Submit by sending a picture of your portait and the above information to:

Portraits will be displayed alongside community-painted Catrinas, and featured during our Day of the Dead events: a
