Downtown Longmont Invites the Community to “Search the Slope”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Downtown Longmont Invites the Community to Explore, Play, and Discover with
“Search the Slope”

Longmont, CO — On Friday, March 7, downtown Longmont will come alive with Search
the Slope, an interactive scavenger hunt inviting the community to explore The Slope
through creativity, discovery, and play.

Search the Slope offers a fresh take on a downtown classic. Participants use their phones
to complete a series of self-guided challenges—snapping photos, answering prompts, and
uncovering hidden details inside participating businesses—all at their own pace. Designed
to encourage curiosity and exploration, the event gives players a new way to experience the
unique character of The Slope while enjoying a fun afternoon downtown.
Those who complete the scavenger hunt will earn prizes provided by the Longmont
Downtown Development Authority, adding an extra incentive to explore every corner of
the district.

The experience is powered by Rad Raccoon’s interactive game platform, blending
technology with community in a way that feels natural, playful, and accessible. Search the
Slope represents a new model for downtown events—one that prioritizes meaningful
engagement, low impact on merchants, and a memorable experience for participants.

Community members can also get involved ahead of the event. By scanning the QR code
included with this announcement and creating a free game account, participants can play
a short preview game for a chance to win Rad Raccoon merchandise. Anyone who
completes the free game by the end of day on March 5 will be entered into a prize drawing,
with winners announced the morning of March 7, 2026. Prizes must be picked up in person
that day.

Search the Slope is open to all and designed to be enjoyed solo or with friends, making it an
easy and engaging way to experience downtown Longmont.
