PRESS RELEASE: LTC Continues 69th Season with Regional Collaboration
LTC Continues 69th Season with Regional Collaboration
LONGMONT, CO — Longmont Theatre Company (LTC) is excited to continue its 69th season with a
renewed focus on collaboration, community connection, and expanding access to live performance
across the Front Range.
With a new board and refreshed outlook, LTC is embracing its mission as “a place for all” by
participating in the Front Range Theatre Coalition, alongside The Arts Hub and other regional
partners. The coalition brings together local theatre companies to strengthen relationships, share
resources, and create more opportunities for audiences and artists throughout the region.
When LTC and its neighbors at Jesters Dinner Theatre realized both companies had scheduled the
same musical in the same timeframe, they worked together to find a solution that best served the
community. As a result, LTC made the decision to adjust its season schedule.
LTC is now thrilled to announce Once Upon a Mattress, a smart and joyful musical filled with sharp
wit, lively music, and sophisticated comedy. The production features fearless female characters and
welcomes audiences of all ages. Once Upon a Mattress runs May 1 through May 16.
LTC’s current production, The Odd Couple, opens this weekend and runs February 6 -21.
“Collaboration is not just a buzzword for us; it’s something we’re living,” said LTC Artistic Director
Rob Mess. “When theatre companies support one another, we strengthen the entire arts community.”
LTC continues to build partnerships with regional theatres including 11 After Theatre, Coal Creek
Theatre of Louisville, and Viva Theatre in Boulder, as well as arts organizations such as Centennial
State Ballet, returning this spring with Beauty and the Beast.
Looking ahead, LTC is seeking off-site rehearsal and set-building space, as well as an investment
partner to support an upcoming balloon payment tied to the historic Trojan Theater, the company’s
87-year-old home.
