This solo piano recital celebrates the legacy of Ricardo Viñes (1875-1943) with works dedicated to and premiered by Viñes, Maurice Ravel and Claude Debussy as well as by composers of the period from France, Italy, Spain and Argentina. Viñes inspired his contemporaries to compose some of their most famous works in the first decade of the twentieth century and led to the development of impressionism in piano music.
This concert is part of the Longmont Museum’s Friday Afternoon Concert Series. Enjoy an afternoon of live music in our Stewart Auditorium this fall featuring an eclectic array of musical acts from up and down the Front Range.
