Anxiety disorders are the most common mental illness in the U.S., affecting 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older. As with any medical condition, treatment for anxiety disorders is complex and distinct for each individual. Medication, sleep and exercise play an important role as well as nutrition and food choices. Food can contribute to disease and dysfunction, or be used to promote healing and prevent disease and anxiety.
In our demonstration, we will be exploring several food choices that can help provide vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to assist in easing the symptoms of anxiety. We will make a delicious, energy-boosting, on-the-go snack that will satisfy your sweet tooth without disrupting your blood sugar.
