On February 14th, the City of Longmont will be hosting an International Winter Bike to Work Day station in the Development Services Center lobby located at 385 Kimbark Street (southwest corner of 4th Avenue and Kimbark Street) between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 am.  Come on in, get warm, and enjoy some food and a warm beverage.  You may bring your bicycle into the Lobby.

Should you choose to participate, you may be riding in the dark, so be certain you have the proper lights on both the front and rear of your bicycle along with the required reflectors (it is the law after all); wear highly visible clothing, and dress in layers for protection from the cold.  While helmets are not required by law, wearing one is strongly recommended, especially this time of year where you’re likely to encounter slick conditions.  Lastly, be sure to do an ABC-Q check of your bicycle to make sure your critical equipment is in working order before starting your ride: “A” is for air; “B” is for brakes.  “C” is for chain, and lastly “Q” is for quick release.
