Groove Holiday is a Longmont based band that explores improvisation through instrumental free flowing jazz and funk. The six piece band grew out of a 20 year friendship between sax player, Greg Warren and guitarist, Chris Anton who met in Boulder while playing in different groups. Most notably, Jive and Motion for Alliance. Enter trumpet player Ryan Cavis in 2019 when he met Greg Warren playing in the pit band for a doo wop review. Ryan’s connection to the local jazz scene brought the band Todd Vanselus on bass and Tobin Munsaton Drums. Everyone in the band has the experience, passion, and love that it takes to make great music. This band plays a mix of original and covers from groups like The Greyboy Allstars, Stanton Moore, Joshua Redman, and more. The chemistry of this groove heavy ensemble will make you stick around and to hear more!
